Stan Playing Train

Train is even good with three people playing. We played the whole twelve rounds and Stan came out the winner, me second, and Emil, badly last.
Lots of laughs and good entertainment! See, I just tried to send this photo up from Picasa and it went straight into my drafts and wouldn't load up the pic. Now I have redone it. Hope it stays.

Is it me...or is it Picasa?

Oh my... I just sent a photo up from Picasa with "Blog This" and it appears on my blog. Sometimes it doesn't actually stay there, so I am sceptical. I'll load the others up in the usual slow manner. More of our snow and my pussy willow tree. ( It is a French Pink Pussy Willow tree, and today, the little furballs changed to a warm pink. How beautiful. I'll try to snap a pic, indoors.
Here are a couple of the pics that Eva sent of the kids...little and big ones. Nice...and thank-you Eva!
I had a chat on the phone with her for a few minutes.. always nice to hear the update about kidlets and life. Sounds like skiing is a big part of it right now. Good for you.
Also, had a chat with Annette as she was going into Home sense to check out bedding. I never heard back,so let us know what you found!
That is something I need , a nice new comforter for my room, then I can move the old one to the green room, and change the name of the Room..so as to avoid confusion with callers looking to stay in the "Green Room!"

We had Stanley ,from Vancouver, arrive on Thursday night...same time as Emil was to arrive home. Emil's flight to Castlegar was cancelled and he had to fly into Kelowna with hope of renting a car... Bad idea.
No cars available,so he had to night over.

Eleanor was returning from Williams Lake early Friday morning and said she would pick him up in Kelowna...well, that too was a bit of a joke, as she never arrived in Kelowna until 5:00pm on Friday! Meanwhile, Stan was making himself at home doing a little exercise and going for along walk and napping, while I worked.

Stan and I had dinner over with, and still no word from Emil. Finally at 10:30 pm he arrived....pretty tuckered out! Stan just layed into him and started to tease him and say how great it would be to go skiing up at Big White in the morning! Emil wasn't laughing! He had some choice words for Stan!

They did go skiing on Saturday, but only up at Apex.

I took garbage to the dump and did a little housecleaning and walked the dog over to Bill's to feed the fish and water plants.

Apparently Bill has taken a turn for the worse and is back in the Nelson hspital. We were saddened to hear that news.
Emil will pay him a visit tomorrow.

Well, Silky has gone to bed,and I think I must go,as well. The cat is sitting on the computer desk, waiting for me to shut everything down.

Wishing you all a good night and a good week.
Signing off and oh yes, one last little story.

Silky emerged from a quiet absence on Thursday nite, and lo and behold ,the scruff around her face was a browny red,and also the inside of her legs were tinged the same colour. I recently bought her a big rawhide bone and thought perhaps she had chewed on it in a way that made her teeth bleed. I pried open her mouth, but could see no evidence of blood, or anything red, for that matter.
Two minutes later and one peak into her doggy bed revealed what she had been up to.

There were large reddish brown blobs and smears all over the white fleece of her bed, and strewn all across it was dozens of black shards - the remainder of what used to be my tube of Sheisido Midight Cherry Lipstick.

YUP.

SHE ATE THE WHOLE THING!

Bad doggy!
Bad Doggy!

Good taste mind you!

Has to be Funny When...

When something is sooo ooo funny, that even when no-one but the dog and cat can hear you, you burst out laughing in a good belly laugh out loud.
That was my response tonight after I hung up the phone.

Phone rings.
I say "Hello"
Male voice vaguely familiar and pretty happy says, "Just checking to see if the green room is available tonight?"
I say" Depends who's asking and whats it all about!"
Male voice says" I ended up here after Hillary had to transfer Oscar. He was in the Trail hospital ,but has moved to Nelson now, blah blah blah... ( takes no breath...keeps on telling me the story about Oscar and Hillary who was a scatter brain and can't remember anything.
I don't even try to interrupt, because Male voice is into some long winded story and is clearly a little pi**ed off with Hillary and how she didn't let him know about Oscar's transfer and so he has been running around the country trying to locate Oscar, and has ended up here.
I finally get a chance for more than a "but" or "wha" or "who",and I say to Male voice. "I don't know who you are talking about...and who did you really want to talk to?"
Dead Silence
"This isn't Betty?"
"Ahem..No, my name begins with B, but it certainly isn't Betty"
But the number I dialed is xxx-xxx-xxx5?
I say "Yeppers, that is the number alright - xxx-xxx-xxx5"
Male Voice: "Waitaminute. The number I should have dialed was xxx-xxx-xxx8"
Silence one more time.
"What city did I dial?"
"Nelson" ( I should have said Atlanta or Australia or somewhere exotic!)

Next, a barage of apologies, beginning with "I am SO sorry to have bent your ear this long!"
By now, I am laughing and tell him to have a great night and hopes he gets over his trials and tribulations...It isn't your fault that we also have a "Green Room"!
I hung up ,then laughed and laughed and laughed until Soleil and Silk just stopped everything and started to stare at me.

I have to say, it was the best laugh in a long time...Thanks, Male Voice.

GRAMMY.com - 49th Annual Awards Show

GRAMMY.com - 49th Annual Awards Show
Yep, the Grammy's are stilllllllll onnnnnnnnn. I enjoyed the new Corinne Baily Rae...certainly a beautiful gal ,and a most precious voice. The Police regrouped to open the awards, and that was a fine performance with Sting singing "Roxanne"..makes the hair stand on end on my arms! I'd like to see him on stage! I printed out some of the nominees fromt he above website. Now I can have a list at hand of who to look for when I buy a new cd, or who to look for when I do a download. Good idea eh? Good when you live in boony ville and still hear the same songs on the radio ,that they were flogging last year.
Oh, there is James Blunt singing "You're Beautiful"..awwe. I like Narles Barkley's performance... singing "Crazy". He should be on Broadway! Maybe he is??

Dinner was wonderful at Janice and Gord's last night. She stuffed Pork tenderloin wioth apricots and prunes and all sorts of spices to give it the most delicious flavour! Sort of reminded me of eating cranberries with chicken...I guess I am a fruit lover!
After dinner, we embarked on three games of Euchre. I've heard about it, but never played it before..and it was good!
The link here is for British Euchre, that utilizes a joker as well as the two Jacks as Bowers.. We didn't play that way, however, I guess there is as many rules for euchre as there are nationalities in the world!
here it is, bedtime already.
I did accomplish a few major tasks between yesterday and today, and can say that without a doubt, my corner of the basement is clutter free..well almost! I took a Vue-load of recycle to the dump, and still have a box of mags to drop off at the Medical clinic. I reorganized my whole fruit storage area/pantry/excess pots/baking dishes/appliances etc. Emil built great wine racks in the new basement, thus freeing up a ton of space in my little cold room. I also did a shuffle of my Partylite stuff, and now it is all boxed and out of site. That is one thing, when you do spend the time to clean up some area, the rewards are great. You can physically see a remarkable improvement. I'll try to continue with hauling excess garbage to the dump this week. It is piling up in garbage bags here and there. We changed the furnace filter and it is a big yuchy to dispose of. Better than breathing in dirty air!

Also, I was relieved to find a note in my email today that Chris and Caro made it to Sao-Paulo...it is raining there as well, so they could have stayed home and had the same thing!
ha-ha!
The next three days should be hopping at work with Valentine's day approaching. You may not hear from me till after the big V-Day. Nelson is having a Hugathon...the latest craze hitting the world. People will be standing on the street corners ,ready to give out free hugs!Starts at 2:00 on Baker Street, on the 14th!
After the close of the shop. I will be heading up to Mary Hall for the Grand Finale dinner of the year at Selkirk! The students prepare their best menus for Valentine's day. We look forward to it every year. One has to save themselves for the desert table. I am hoping they have a chocolate fountain this year! Did you see that even Canadian Tire carrries those Fountains... How much fun would that be at a party?

Oh yes, and as a final note, I spent half the afternoon yesterday getting flights for Sonia and I booked on-line for Correna's big 4-0, this summer in Vegas! I found the best deal through Orbitz ,although we incur a stopover in Salt Lake city. Other than that, the departure times and arrival times are pretty good from Spokane and it looks like the planes have plenty of open seats. You could pick your seating, which is a good thing. Now I'll have to call the hotel and confirm the late arrival ( we land around four fifteen in the afternoon). Other than that, the e-tickets arrived in my email and it looks like we are good to go. Now to start saving my gambling dough! maybe I'll just spend it on a trip to the Grand Canyon. I've been so close, three times now, but not there.
good night..Holy cats..it is late ...and the grammy's are still bleating away. Looks like most of the best singers existed 30 years ago!

Vote on the Seven wonders of the world

n7w: Vote
I thought Correna and Joe would like this sight,as they are on a quest to see the seven wonders of the world. Now there is a debate going on with this world wide web vote to elect the newest seven wonders of the world...Hello? Are the Pyramids going to lose out to the Stautue of Liberty? Lets hope not!So read up and vote with integrity to keep the Natural and old wonders at the top of the list. We know the Hanging gardens of Babylon aren't around, but how about MAchu Pichu, or the Grand Canyon...and yes, the Pyramids as Number 1!!!

This is Annette's latest discovery,The Dragon Fruit...similar to a kiwi inside as far as the seeds go, but the colour is outrageous! Check out the website to start growing your own! It suspiciously looks like my Queen of the Night Cactus flower. It is a cactus, and it only blooms for one night. Maybe mine never got pollinated!

Rails to Trails...

Today was a good workout for the abs and flabs, that is for sure. We x-country skiied for miles up along the beautiful calm Slocan river. We started at Winlaw, where there are trail bathrooms, and the map, to show you where you are. It was somewhat tracked, with many icy spots where my skiis slid together to nearly topple me over, but other that, it was pretty good, considering people walk their dogs all over the ski tracks...oh yes, and let them poop on the tracks also. I guess, the fun thing is to go visit a bakery that can be accessed off the trail about two kilometers past Winlaw. Unfortunately, it was closed on a Sunday. Sharon, however, raved on about the good cinnabuns they have and the bowls of borsht etc...I told her "enough already!" Too funny. We'll have to plan our next trip on a Saturday.
I was a whupped puppy by the time we returned, and now ,my legs and knees still feel like jelly. Besides, it was snowing all afternoon. Poor Emil went out and shovelled tonight, and we were even graced with a visit from an old fashioned grader coming down our ice slick of a road. I hope he managed to chew it up a bit.

Well, I think I will hit the hay,as work will come early tomorrow ,and I have many jobbies to complete. Chris and Carolyne are away for two months, so I am running the road show. Also, I am looking after Jake and Lola...two budgies that manage to squawk up a storm and scatter seeds everywhere. At least C. brought in a vaccuum for me... Hey, I might find a few other things to vac up...maybe a birdie or two?
Just Joking!

I forgot to mention that our dear neighbour, Bill, made it home for a few days this week-end with his family there to help him out.It has been almost five weeks since his surgery, and I must say, he has lost a lot of weight. His spirits are good, and now he needs to concentrate on learning to eat again, as he had a good portion of his stomach removed. I hope he continues to gain some weight and get back on track. It looks like it will be a long haul.
Good Luck to him. Thank goodness, his daughter has taken time off work to look after him. He is trying a Naturepath diet now,so I hope he gets onto eating that.It will work if his daughter does the preparation of the foods, but I can't see him ever preparing any of that stuff for himself. Not easy to switch an old dog over to new tricks.
ok..bedtime folks...Have a wonderful week, and thank-you all for the great letters. John and Ronda are counting down the days until they go sailing in the British Virgin isles...Looks deluxe to me.. I'll put up a link to their sailing ship, later on in the week.

The trail is well marked with maps

Ski Day up the Slocan

Saturday, February 03, 2007

Clean doggy

As you can see, the day turned out awesome in our little neighbourhood. Emil and I took a x-country ski down the railroad tracks to Sunshine Bay Park, and back... seemed like an hour's ski, but was much longer...so much longer that my legs felt like jelly afterwards! (We remedied that by having a hot-tub tonight!)
Tomorrow morning we are hooking up with the Sharon and Bud and Sue and Pearl to see if we can find our way onto the walking trail that borders Slocan river, for a ski up that way. I'll let you know how it goes.

Joyce met me after work and we took our tour of the two new exhibitions at the Touchstones Museum and Gallery ...one was filled with Hockey Memorabilia outlining the history of Hockey in Nelson, including a whole section on the Ladies Hockey team, the Blueliners. Joyce knew half the people they were talking about, or knew their families, through her work at the Mount. Many players who were highlighted from the Trail Smokies, were also names we both recognized, such as Seth Martin and Addie Tambelini. The old team photos, and jerseys on display are worth taking in the show. Ted Hargreaves and Ernie Gare were mainstays in the hockey history of Nelson, and I am sure that their names will always be associated with their love and promotion of the game, here in the Kootenays.

The big gallery showed off the talents of the the Design group called Freshly Squeezed. It gave everyone a new outlook on how products are marketed.. using, emotion, fact, or future promises. Many of the installations were interactive, giving everyone a chance to get involved with the piece.
We had fun choosing options on a computer and how our choices compared to other people. Also we COULD have drawn all over a whole wall, but a few young people took over the felt pens and we were left high and dry with our expert opinions and catchy phrases that could have made up part of the installation. Next time, we'll head for the felt pens immediately!
Okay...ta-ta for now. I talked to Sonia dn apparently there were no earth tremours that she could feel. Apparently the threat has been down graded. Good.
Also ,she and Annette took in the Barenaked Ladies Concert ...best concert she had been to!
Also,Sonia took part in a clothing exchange..some friends each brought ten pieces of clothing or jewellry to exchange with the other gals... Great idea eh? Sonia unloaded her stuff and came home with new and fun things. She was happy, and they were too!
Nighty night...skiing will come early.

Happy Week-end

Cheers to the Week-end...It was a good one! Lynn came out of a nice visit, bringing me all kinds of wonderful yummy edible things, including a beautiful bouquet of fresh spring flowers! Thank-you Lynn, for your kindness and generosity...I always appreciate it!
We were in the middle of draining our hot-tub of the Bromine contents. I gave up on trying to keep it balanced. When the alkalinity was right, the Ph was high. When the PH was right, the Alkalinity was gone. So we cleaned it all out and started afresh with Chlorine...back to where we were. I couldn't stand tubbing in a tub full of froth. Froth isn't good in a hot-tub. Froth= Bacteria.
Maybe it was too much Victoria secret Body butter, but I don't think so...I think the jet action was too high for Bromine.
Get over it B.

Needless to say, after our visit and our dinner, we migrated to the fresh tub and whaled away under the 3/4 moon until it was well past eleven. We still came in and had a snack and yapped for another hour or so.

At 8:30 am, Sharon was on the phone to announce that her and Bud and Sue would be coming out to ski the tracks ...starting at our house! Good idea! (They skied Balfour on Saturday and it was icy).
Lynn and I ate a french toast and bacon breakfast, then got suited up. She wore my skis, and I wore Emil's skis and before you know it, Sharon and Bud and Sue had arrived, all ready to ski. Now, skiing down the train tracks, wouldn't normally be my first choice of locations to ski, considering we do actually see a train or two pass by once or twice a day. "They come at night, don't they?" says Sue. Then Sharon says "ahhh, they come late in the afternoon only!" I knew that they came both at night and int he late afternoon, and one should be comfortable knowing that you know when the trains come, but it is a different matter when you are skiing around a corner, smack dab in between two rails of steel, and there isn't what I'd call a real special place to jump into, should one hear a train coming...or the Pilot truck coming. Face it, we'd have been five spots in a row with ski-prongs hanging out in front and back of each of us, had a train ever rounded the corner!

Aside from that small deterrent, it was perfectly level, and pretty much easy to x-country ski on. Bud and Sharon led the way ,with Lynn and I bringing up the rear, and Sue, in the middle.
Do you know that after less than an hour of skiing we,were long past Sunshine Bay Park-putting on good mileage. At that point, Sue had to find a tree to wee behind, and as we were waiting, I nearly keeled over when I shifted the big body weight. My knees were tired, so I suggested that at least Lynn and I head back home. No, everyone concurred, it was time to turn back. Bud showed us a few ski tricks, to help get us in a good ski rhythm and in no time we were back to our end of the bay.
Everyone came in for a hot-rum ( with or without the rum) and a plate of natchos and cheese with yummy toppings of tomatoes, red peppers and finely chopped onions. Dunked in my homemade salsa, it was the perfect way to end a good ski day.
Nothing ever totally ends around here!
The X-country ski gang left, and then Lynn and Emil and I had some of Lynn's good soup and a little sandwich to top off the natchos which were only a good appetizer!
Lynn packed up and left, and in an hour or so, Emil's co-worker, Janice, arrived.
See, no dull moments around here.
We snacked and blabbed, then Emil fired up the Barby and grilled some Rainbow trout steaks. Yum! With my garden green beans that I had frozen this summer and the Orange Strawberry (almost) salad, it was another good meal. ( I didn't mention that we made roast beef and Yorkshire puddings for dinner last night.
At 9:30 we all decided to go for a hot-tub. Now I am petering out. Everyone else is in bed, including Silky, s o that is where I ought to go. After all, it is work tomorrow. Have a good week!

I am thinking that I was happy to not be eating Haggis for my dinner last night.
Have a great week-end ...I am sooooo late for work. I need breakfast in a big hurry.

More Snow...Echhh!

The trees were even droopier this morning as the snow piled down as tho it were snowing in Vancouver...You know...those big fluffy flacons that make your previous shovelling efforts disappear in ten minutes. Emil left right in the middle of the biggest snowflake deluge, around 7:30 am. At 8:30, he was on the phone to me, saying he was waiting for the tow-truck, as the car(Dynasty) ( with him in it) spun out at four mile.
I asked if he was ok, and he said he was. No other cars involved so that was good...and so he was still on his way to work.
When I drove in, I nearly drove off the road myself when I saw the tracks in the snowbank at the edge of the road...yes, he failed to mention it was at the LAKE side of the road! In fact, it looked like he was the car was in teeter -totter position.
And tonight, the real story came out...the car did a 360* and was heading straight for the bank going down to the lake...no houses here, just lake. He checked to see if his seatbelt was on, and felt relieved that it was as the car spun out of control. He thought it was t*ts up, but due to the huge amount of snow lately, the undercarriage of the car got hung up on the snow at the banks edge. So there he was ,at a crazy angle with the nose of the car and one side, balanced so nicely. His first thought,as he peered out the windshield at the lake below, was "Should I move?" He decided it was in his best interest to try to get the heck out of the car before someelse came sliding off the road.
So all in all, he was very lucky that he never ended up doing a Polar bear dip.
The car is fine and so is he... and needless to say, I drove into work very carefully. The roads were quite ugly...snow,slush, slop and ice and freezing rain coming down. Not a good blend at all.

Oh, did I mention that the RCMP gave him a little blue warning to put winter tires on the back wheels...He has seven days to do it, but they are already on the car now!

I cam home from work and shovelled a ton of the wet stuff, hardly able to push it more than a couple of feet! Silky had a blast ,jumping for snowballs and then crashing the big snowball that I rolled, into a million pieces. She seems o havve a little destructive streak in her! She had fun while I sweated!

Last night, Leah had her PArtylite party that she booked from me, and it was fun. Her and Rubin ( Wendy 's son) live in a cute little house that they have fixed up very nicely. Leah did so well with the party, that she is interested in selling Partylite now, in Nelson! They have no consultants in Nelson, so she could find a good little niche here.
Thus she needs to book six parties in the next couple of weeks...Anyone interested in having a party for her? There is lovely new product with some great Hostess specials, incuding an Aromatheraputic burner, for $11.95.
There are new scents and many beautiful new candles in little hurricane jars which make for a great gift,as they can be used indoors or out. They sell between 29.95 and 35.00.
Okey dokey...time for early bed tonight. I was up way way too late last night, putting in my own order for 2nd Nature,as I sold some of that at the party also.
Have a good one...don't strain anything if you are shovelling!

More Snow!

Last night, the snow continued to fall, and today, we were faced with more shovelling and clearing. The belt on Emil's tractor/snowthrower broke which meant he was at the mercy of Bill's snowblower that you push. Well, first he had to get the beast going. He had to drain the gas out of it and put in new gas before it would start. Meanwhile, I shovelled the top balcony off...about 14" of snow there, and then I proceeded to the back patio. I couldn't even push it from one side of the patio to the edge! I cleared as much as I could, into the middle of the patio, so that Emil could finsh it with the snowblower, which he did, later.

I threw the snow, shovel full by shovel full, over the rails of the deck, off of our bedroom. I think it was a million cubic meters of snow...What a load! My back was grateful when I finished !
Emil and I both headed for the hot-tub for a little soak, then we had lunch, followed by a NAP!
Yep, you heard it right, Bea had a nap!

Elli and Peter invited us over to play Texas Hold'em with them and Bill and Marlene! With only the six of us playing , some great hands cropped up, like four aces, and many full houses. We all felt the swing from bad cards to good, or visa-versa.
In the end tho, we all had a big laugh as the confusion arose over how much money we were owed or lost. Seems like everyone kept at least 8 thousand dollars,as no one had ventured to play those big 500 dollar and one thousand dollar chips!( We all started with ten bucks) When it came down to the nitty gritty, each pair of us was only up or down by fifty cents or so! All along when we were betting, we kept saying it was ten or twenty dollars, when it was only ten or twenty cents, because Peter and Elli, in their infinate wisdom decided that our ten dollars was worth ten thousand dollars!!!
Too funny...It kept all of us low rollers away from even betting a measely 50 cents! I guess the laugh was on them as we pretty much all walked away with our same ten bucks that we came with.
In the old days, we played with five bucks worth of chips, but the deminations were closer to reality.
We'll rethink the program for next time, or if anyone has it all figured out, let us know!
Texas Hold 'em is a fun evening if you aren't sitting for too long ...we were at it for five hours...about an hour and a half too much for my numb bum! The great part was the lemon and apple pies that Elli served...from her apples that froze in her outside fridge.

As a side note, here is a tip from both her and Sonia today....you can freeze both oranges and lemons...just cut them into wedges, and put in freezer bags or tupperware, then thaw slightly in the nuker, to eat them immediately. ( Elli's oranges froze in her outside fridge also.) Sonia's tip came from the Tupperware Lady at the Tupperware party she just attended.
Good advice, since the orange crop has frozen, south of the border, so stock up on your citrus fruits, and be prepared for sharp increases in other produce...it could all double or triple in the next month advises Steve.

Ok, bedtime I guess, since it is 1:30 am...I wasn't really tired after having napped today.
Have a good Sunday. I think we will go for a x-country ski, as the neighbours took a swing by our beach with the skidoo, laying down some pretty decent tracks...Thanks Dave!

Read this before downloading music files

Download Guide
This is a good guide to which download programs are the best...according to this fellow, of course. I used to use Limewire and it seemed fine, until my computer bit it. I am not saying that Limewire downloads caused the problem, but the fellow at the Computer shop said that most worms and trojans are delivered right along with those nice music files that you download. So...if you do the deed, be ye careful and make sure it is only what you were asking for.

Well, week one back to work seemed to be a long one. Of course it isn't nearly as busy with Christmas and exchanges over with, so it is giving me time to clean the glass shelves and generally spend a little more time with each customer. We had a couple of nice skiing tourists from Montreal, who came all the way out here for a ski vacation, because there was no snow in Quebec. Surely wasn't that way when we lived there, except for one year when we had a green Christmas...then by January all hell broke loose and we were in the snow until April.
That is about all it did today, is snow. I cleared all the walks and patios the night before last, then last night, I did the front and side patio, and this morning, I did the front again, and part of the back patio. It didn't seem to matter, because Emil had to shovel all of them when he returned home today, as it snowed for most of the day. It looked like rain almost, but at -3*, it was snow. The roads weren't horrendous, but I wouldn't want to be those ski guys, who were planning on driving all night to Vancouver... crazy guys!!
ok, I think I'll check this recommended download site Downloadmusicinc.com and see what it is all about, after I make popcorn.
I ate at KFC tonight and I must admit that for 7.49. you got one heck of a plate of food...their new "Chicken Fries, a salad, a chicken combo with fries and a single piece of chicken and a drink. I brought home half the fries,a few of the chicken fries, and the piece of chicken. The chicken burger filled me up.
Well, there is always room for popcorn!:-)

Besides, I had one of Sonia's Martinis and that ,I suppose, has made me hungry enough for popcorn.
They are easy to make and taste great. An ice shaker makes it all the better.
1 shot of Vanilla Rum or regular rum
1 shot of cranberry juice ( Light and clear if you can find it)
1 shot of pineapple juice
1 shot of sourpuss apple ( green stuff in a squiggly bottle, found at Safeway)
Shake all in a shaker with ice and pour into a martini glass and drink.
I prefer to pour the ice and all, into a glass and drink it that way. Yum Yum
Cheers and here's to a great week-end...how about some x country skiing????

Brush up on your math skills

Free Math...
This is one of the courses on the Free Education sight..Just start at the Math basics and go from there. I think my pop-up blocker halted the tutorial, but the courses work just fine.
