Crazy Me..Back by Popular Demand..

Touching down long enough to refill their buckets. 3 different helicopters came and went within a five minute span. This was taken at McDonalds Narrows.

That was the plume of smoke from the Sitkum fire,as seen on Saturday afternnoon, from the Safeway parking lot in Nelson.

From the bridge

A helicopter spewing water as he soared overhead

Over the trees and up to the mountain top

More smoke behind the mountains as seen from the ferry, looking north.

The smoke was defiantely pouring upwards from the fire on Saturday night. It never appeared any worse, but it continues to burn, and is over 200 hectares now... The smoke is visible from our house,as well.

So ,just to apologize for not finishing the post about our week-end at Snadra and Leo's..I fell asleep at my perch and just couldn't get back to it. I just wanted to say Thanks so much to Leo and Sandra for the delicious dinner and all the fun we had last week-end. Next time, you'll have to come to our place!

Saturday afternoon, Joyce and I had a nice afternoon at Leah's shower. I'll try to get some pics posted tomorrow night...before we leave for Vegas!
Sonia and the girls, and Spike, warrived safely today. We had a delicious dinner and then went down to the beach where the kids had fun in the water...Granny too!
It was so good to see them all. Kaleigh and Maddie have both grown taller, and Sonia looks like a million bucks with newly lost weight!

We talked over our Vegas agenda...sounds like lots of shopping! Lynn called tonight and we arranged our meeting Wednesday night and discussed seeing the Legends on Friday night. Lynn brought the weather forecast to my attention...worth checking out if anyone is going there...
Ok,bedtime,.... I'll load up some pics of Leajh's shower some other time...It was fun, despite the onslaught of wasps.
See you in Vegas!

I took some photos on my way home ,of the smoke,as well asthe helicopters refilling their buckets...Quite amazing. i hope it is under controle once again. i'll try to upload my photos tomorrow.
