Lily Time

My garden is a florabunda of blooms..especially Lillies..and I love them all!

Giant stargazers

These are my new casablancas...laden with pollen

They look so tropical and their fragrance is heavenly

The clusters are enormous with ten or more blooms per spike...

Face Plant at the PArk

This was before the BBQ started on Saturday... I met Emil at the park for the annual Tram BBQ and we had to go back to get things out of the car...well, Emil suggested a shortcut...up a littel hill and over the railroad tracks. Only part I missed was getting the toe end of my sandal over the first rail... Down I went witha resounding thud, glasses flying and my face was smack sideways on a railway tye. @ lucky things ...One...no train was coming. #2: I landed on dirty, dusty, rail tyes and not the variety one tye over that was ooozing with nice black tar... Emil came to my rescue, stepping slightly on my glasses and helped me up and back to the car. I think I twisted every muscle in my body...sore arm, sore shin and most of all a sore Faceplant...you can see the nice shades of blue coming on. Today it was achy all day and never really inspired me to do much. We were supposed to attend Chris's birthday bash, but I felt like going nowhere, and worse yet, didn't want to have to explain to fifty people that I actually fell, wasn't drunk, and no, wasn't the result of a sucker punch.
After a change of clothes and a can of cold coke rolled on my face, I enjoyed the lovely Potluck with Baron of beef and beef dip... Yum... The deserts were amazing as well with everything from Napoleans to Nanaimo bars. Lakeside park is so huge and beautiful, I thought I'd add a few photos.

A lovely view of BOB...our Big Orange Bridge.
