The big 5-0!
Ashley contimplates all those years that have gone before him!!
All of their family and some very close friends,all gathered at Deb and Ashley's for a great party that Deb organized for him. We finally got to meet, Lyndsey's boyfriend, Jason, and his parents...from Kelowna. Also, there was Julia, Lyndsey's Paris room mate, who came to visit , all the way from Austria. Lyndsey is Deb and Ashley's eldest daughter, who lives in Kelowna...You might see her in the Cactus Club there as a waitress!
The kids put together a memorablephoto cd with old photos of the family that brought tears to everyone's eyes... They had a funny saying on every photo...and some dandy photos from years ago. All in all, it proved that Ashley was a terrific dad to the kids and they all respect and love him. Deb made enought food for an army, so we grazed all afternoon, then ate dinner and desert... and birthday cake...all very yummy!
Well, tomorrow will be the last day for our grandaughters to be here. Emil will drive them back to the ferry on Tuesday. Our house will be pretty quiet without them. They are missing their friends and can't wait to see whats new with everyone that they haven't seen for a few weeks. our house, on the other hand will be the most quiet since the end of June and Emil's party, tho, John and Ronda are popping over tomorrow as they are getting ready for Ronda's mom and dads big 80th birthday party
NEXT Saturday. No dull moments around here... just a week of work between events... It will be fun to see everyone at that party also.. Okey dokey...have a great Monday! I have to bring my computer back to the shop to see why my new wireless router doesn't work...after it spent the day in there on Friday...poo-poo to technology...can't live with it, can't live with-out it!
