Hey there...Wake Up! Christmas is Coming!!!

I think I was yelling that title to myself... yes, only a scant 16 days ahead of us. Today it looked a little like winter as the snowflakes fell...more like sleet blowing about.. The good news was that it was one degree for my whole trip home from work, s o the roads were wet and slushy and not an ice rink. The snow did bring in the shoppers today and made it feel like Christmas was , indeed on its way!
I came home from work and after dinner , I finished decorating our Xmas tree. Emil had to replace about fifty bulbs last night! It is a fake tree with all the lights on it, but afterabout five years, I guess they are starting to burn out. I'll hit up Hipperson's hardware to latch onto more of the bulbs with the little filiments hanging out their ends and Emil can do the replacing, like a good man should!
Last night , my decorating ended in one disaster after the next as I kept dropping the bobbles and balls ...broke about 8 of them before I quit and went to bed. Speaking of bed...that is where I am off to now. So keep your eyes peeled to the moon on Friday night. It is closest to the earth than any other time of the year and the moon will appear larger than normal... Check it out.
Have a great week... Happy shopping and come to Kolmels on Ward street if you are looking for a gift of bling!
One more thing... the PArtylite and PAmpered chef appears to be coming around the 15th or 16th now, so it should still be in time for Xmas.
With any luck, so should my Xmas letter ...it will appear right here in this bloggy!!!

Sunday

Santa's little helper...and so it was a good party ,I hear!

Oh my Sonia...You are all decked out alright! Lookin' mighty cutey in that hat too!You weren't cold in that little outfit were you?

Joyce took this quick shot of a coyote making fast tracks along the fence line

Gobble gobble...these turkeys are a couple of winners...they were squawking over the elderberries... Joyce caught them in the act!

Lynn and Ken made a trip to Kelowna for their Auntie Edna's ninetieth birthday...not hard to tell which family tree they are from! She was nicely surprised when they broke out the cake and flowers... way to go , for making her day so special! Don't we all hope to be as spry as Edna when we reach ninety!

I am in clean out mode...did several drawers and cupboards in my china cabinet, my hall closet, and my bathroom... I am on a spree to use up the "last of" a bottle or tube of anything...cause I am pretty much running out of space...everywhere... and just maybe it is due to too many candle holders being out and about, in my house this year... Just wait till the new lot arrives! Should be the end of the week... then all hell will break loose!
Love you all...have a great week. I probably won't be back till next week-end... ten errands to do before work tomorrow am, then a dental appoint. at 1:00. Tuesday, it is physio on my knee, and Wednesday, back to the dentist to finish putting in my new bridge work...so I imagine my mouth will be a little touchy after that.

The good news is that Emil put up the rest of the Christmas lights and finally after three years without them, I feel like it is Christmas... oh yes, I WAS going to put up the tree...completely forgot about it after Deb and Ashley came over for a hot-rum and a little nosh... tum de dum dum dum.... then I watched Home Alone and Desperate Housewives, and there went the night...Ta-Ta for now...Christmas will come, ready or not.
