Maytag Recall
You can check this website to see if your Maytag dishwasher is part of a nationwide recall. It would have to have been purchased 1997-2001.. and at this website,you can check the model and serial numbers to see if yours is in that catagory. Mine is. Apparently a fire hazard can result.
