Picasa 3 is already giving me a headache... I might try to reset my computer to an earlier day...ie...pre Picasa 3.. It doesn't upload pics to my blog very well...comes up with errors and is driving me a little crazier than usual. We woke up to the flakes coming down some more and all was fairly well white outside. Emil and I went for a hot-tub first thing this morning and then it started to snow big huge flakes , the size of marshmellows! I am sure we acrrued another two inches of snow in that fifteen minutes of jumbo flakes! Emil went out and shovelled and I cleaned the house up and cleaned out the drawers in my china cabinet...moved some stuff around and all in all , by the end of the morning I had a few bags of stuff for the Win shop, and a bag for recycle. I had good intentions to start wrapping or do some cards, but my enthusiasm died after I returned from outside. I was setting up the two birdfeeders ...filled them up with birdseed and suet at my little feeder. That is the first time we've had seed out since the bear visits! The feeder that Ron and Phoebe gave us looks lovely now that it has seed in it! Thanks Ron! I heard a few chickadees, but they never made it to the feeder yet...maybe tomorrow!
I unburied my blow up Frosty snowmen so that they could blow up, and by then, it was happy hour and a hot-rum was in order! Thats when my enthusiasm died..and shortly thereafter, I needed a little nappy -poo on the couch!
Oh yes, I have had word that both shipments for PArtylite and Pampered Chef have been shipped ( by ground transport) and so with any luck, the product should arrive late next week. I'll keep my fingers crossed that no major snowstorm bogs the trucks down somewhere on the transcanada highway!
Speaking of highways, the roads were some mess for Lynn and Ken's return trip from Kelowna on Friday and about nine kms outside of Christina Lake, they hit black ice and took a skid into the ditch. Thankfully by the grace of God, it wasn't over the bank and into the creek! Once towed out of the ditch, they were able to drive back to Castlegar. Lynn said the roads were so icy that she couldn't stand up on the highway and was very worried that someone else might come along and skid off the road into Ken's vehicle! All sounds pretty treacherous! That is one thing in this part of the country...it can be October or April and you can still hit a snowstorm or bad roads.
Sorry that I haven't been blogging at all this week... just too much on the agenda after my hen party last Sunday, then a major dental appointment on Tuesday which left me under the weather for Wednesday too.. then a little Xmas party at HEU on Thursday night, groceries Friday night and here it is...Saturday already! In the weeks leading up to Christmas we will get extremely busy at work so I will probably have more breaks then blog posts... Maybe Jamie will keep us entertained on her web page! Okey dokey...have a great Sunday tomorrow...and drive carefully!
