My Last Monday at Work!

Our Sunny week-end!

This is my last week at work...Wow! I didn't think I would be looking forward to my last day as much as I am, but I guess my need to do things at home and be with Emil has surpassed the need for the job. It has been a great place to work and many customers have become good friends.
And for those of you who popped in to see me while you were in town, I certainly appreciated having your surprise visits. Now we will have to meet for a coffee in town, if you email me or call me and let me know when you will be in Nelson. It is only a littledrive to town that has become a regular routine now. However, during the month of March, the ferry will be replaced by a pontoon barge or rig that will carry fewer cars while the ferry is going in for refit ( something I need , myself!) So plan on longer delays getting on and off the ferry and avoid the peak hours between 7&9 in the morning and 5-6:30 in the afternoon. For me, I am thrilled that I won't have to contend with that traffic jam! Yea!
Have a great day!

Little Bit O spring

Safeway had a great deal on fresh daffies and tulips so I loaded up to give myself a little spring time cheer to add to the lovely sunny days we have had this week-end. Emil and I took a nice walk with Silky... the roads are still pretty icy in some areas, but all clear in others.. All we need is a little warmth to go with the sunshine.
I am pretty much finished loading all of my music CD's into a large binder that now weighs in at over ten pounds I am sure. It will enable us to get rid of the ugly CD rack out of the living room. Of course, when we bought it, we thought it was the cat's meow!
So this week is my last week at Kolmels after more than five years...What will I do with myself? Shell the rest of my walnuts from last fall? frame up a few pictures? Go for a Sunday drive in the middle of the week? Paint a picture? Sew? Garden?
The world is my oyster! I felt like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders when I was cleaning my bathroom yesterday... I was thinking, that hey, if I don't get that window-sill wiped down, I can do it any day next week...ANY Day...I will have a choice!
Okey dokey...back to work at home first, then at Kolmels for the rest of the week... Wheee!
