Joyce's babies, on the farm...

Joyce sent me these very cute pics tonight of the new babies on her farm.
These are baby robins still with their eggshell.

Here, the mama deer had her little baby bambi right in Joce's backyard behind the milk house.... Pretty special when you see them brand spanky new like that. Our resident mama deer was spotted on Saturday at the Yard sale...no, she wasn't buying baby toys... She was clambering up the hillside with little baby babmbi, as big as our dog, trying to keep up to mom. The grass was so deep, the poor little gaffer had a heck of a time climbing the bank...He must of been brand new also.

So, I am looking forward to meeting Lynn tomorrow night. There is a grand opening of the Craft Connection in its new location of the old Godfrey's store. I am anxious to see the new gallery in the basement.
Well, I better tidy up and maybe run the vacuum thru... We seem to track in a bale of grass each day. Emil has a mulcher on his new tractor.. seems to mulch its way right into the house. Speaking of Emil, the nice guy fenced the bottom of my garden and tilled the garden up... kisses to him. He left this morning to got o Cranbrook where he will team up with Wayne and the two will head up to Prince George to go fishing with John ...He deserved a little break after all the yard he has done lately!
So it is miserable weather out... I had to turn on the heat because it was so freezing tonight... brrr.
TGIF tomorrow...Have a great weekend!

Foggy Monday Morning

Looked a little like winter out there this morning...

The little swallow didn't mind

The geese were oblivious

This gives you an idea how behind we are... My lilacs are just starting to bloom.
We had a good rain yesterday...all day...and today, the fog rolled in to give us that east coast feeling...
We have recouped from the big Yard sale week-end, and despite buying stuff at Deb and Ashleys. we still came out ahead!
Deb and Ash, joined us for dinner as I tried out my new rotissiere appliance that I bought from Deb's sister... well, I overcooked the roast, even tho it said medium rare...I shut the BBQ thing off, but still the roast must have just kept on cooking...It said 19 minutes a pound... and I should have precisely stuck to the recipe... I'll try a chicken next time!
Hokey dokey... Have a great day...Hope it is sunny in your world. I walked 2.5 kilometers this moning and feel like I need a little nappy now!

Garage Sale

Started off with lots of items ( junk)

The pictures got looked at...today they are hitting the recycle...

Happily, these two took some serious "stuff"...I threw in the bowling ball for free.....
Janice was our support team..she also rearranged the items for the best exposure...Thanks Janice!

They came from near and far...walking, riding, on bikes and at Elli's, she even got a couple come by that were out walking their donkeys.

We all gathered at Elli and Peter's for a BBQ afterwards ...and a lot of laughs...that is the scissor hold , by the way...

Ed and Ashley, holding down the fort

The gals...Janice, Linda and Deb...

Peter was manning the BBQ...and those burgers were the best!

Yes, the day turned out to be a perfect sunny day...the best for a Yard Sale... We had tons of people and by the end of the day we had almost nothing to bring back into the house...YIPEE!!! We have to confess that we did buy a few items from Deb and Ashley's sale tho! LOL. Oh well, it all turned out terrific and today, the rain is pouring down, so we picked the absolute best day to hold it. Thanks to everyone who stopped over for a look see and to buy something... the funds will go to for a future trip!
