Saturday in Pilot Bay

Saturday was a perfect day for a boat ride.. We gathered up a lunch and snacks and loaded up the "Annie" and took the girls for a leisurely ride over to Pilot bay... not so far and just across the main lake... As luck would have it , we found a mooring buoy to hook up to and there we stayed all day! The weather was perfect and even the water wasn't too frigid once you got used to it.
looking to the end of Pilot bay. It has 8 buoys to tie up to and seven were taken when we pulled in around 1:30

Kaleigh the Queen from Neptune's depths comes up with a halo of seaweed

Not sure whether she is coming or going, but her and the snorkle had a few issues.

Maddie spent a lot of time reading during the ride over to Pilot BAy

This may have been the first time she went in. The second time Emil gave her the big push and "Splash! " She was in!
My three mugwumpians! Aren't they a trio of love?!!!
Kaleigh caught some rays as we drove across the lake
Even the "old ones " took the plunge!

Later we went to the BBI for our last big feed of onion rings before the girls went back.
This morning the three of them left before seven for their return to Victoria. Emil will be leaving the "baba-mobile " for Kaleigh and maybe eventually , Maddie to learn to drive on. Emil gave KAeigh lots of lessons already, and she even drove into Nelson, so now it will be up to her mom and dad and maybe driving lessons to complete her "L" and get her an "N".
The house will be quiet and we will be wondering where the summer went in two weeks when August ends! The good news is that we had a good visit with Sonia nad Maddie and Kaleigh and at the end of the month we have more events to look forward to. In fact, in no time at all, August will be gone and we will be looking at September.
Oh yes, Ronda and John stopped in last night...they are on their big trip to Nashville... Wow! That will be terrific...except if it is still 110* there.
